7/20 Weekly Email - Division 3 Recap, Banquet Info, All Star Meet Info

Good morning Seahawks and Pre-team families! (We need to come up with a more creative name for pre-team; please send suggestions ;)

DIVISION MEET RECAP

We had a fun Division 3 meet yesterday with the Blue Crabs, Barracudas, and Racers.  78 Seahawks participated, swimming in a total of 230 events with 127 personal best times!  That's the highest percent of improvement we've had all season! Ribbons and ducks will be available at our Banquet this evening.  We have some new All Star times to add to our growing list.  Congratulations to Elena Xiao for All Star times in Breast, Back and Fly as well as Elena Dai for Free, Ryan Wenek for Breaststroke, and Liam Rodriguez-Mosher for his IM, Back and Free.  Shout out to Zak Shraim who started off on our pre team and then got promoted to team with an All Star time for his 25 free at the Mighty Mini Meet! Go Zak!

That brings our total to 20 All Star swimmers this season!  You can find the updated list here. Pictures and results from the meet can be found here. Please upload any pictures you have as well to our album!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered for the event and stepped up to fill roles as needed. Summer swim is a family affair and we appreciate everyone who went above and beyond to make the meet a success.

BANQUET INFO

Now that the season has ended for most of our swimmers, it's time to celebrate!  Our banquet is tonight from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  The pool is only open to Seahawks families so please be sure to check in when you arrive.  Upon check in, you will receive an envelope with tickets for each volunteer point you earned this season.  You may enter your tickets into some amazing raffle baskets.  This is a small way to say thank you for donating your time and for those who went above and beyond the 4 required points to help our team!  (Must be present to win.)

Dinner will be available from 5:30- 6:30 and then we'll be having awards around 6:45. Cake, cookies, and popsicles will be available after the awards ceremony.

Each pre-team swimmer will be receiving a certificate along with an ice cream coupon and prize. Each Seahawk swimmer will be receiving a medal with a 2025 pin to attach to it.  Unfortunately, the shipping has been delayed for the pins, so they'll be available for pickup this week during All Star practices on Tuesday- Friday from 9-10 am.  I'll also be on the pool deck Thursday evening from 6-7 pm. If that doesn't work for you, reach out and we'll coordinate pickup.  We'll be handing out certificates for All Star swimmers along with a special gift as well as various certificates for high point achievers and most improved.  We're looking forward to a fun evening celebrating our outstanding season!

Lastly, I want to thank our Gold and Silver Sponsors!  We could not have had the season we had without the generous donations from our sponsors.  The full list of the generous sponsors and donors is listed on our team website. Please support the businesses that are supporting our community!

Thank you again and Go Seahawks!
